Fluoride is another powerful tool to combat decay. If your children drink bottled water instead of tap water, they might have a fluoride deficiency. Dr. Shahriar applies fluoride directly to teeth to strengthen, protect, and guard against cavities.
           
Dr. Shahriar may suggest a space maintainer if your child prematurely loses a primary tooth. A space maintainer serves as a guide, letting a permanent tooth emerge in its ideal position and preventing neighboring teeth from crowding the space left by the primary tooth.
